> I've worked with a lot of marketers in the past 3 years. Every
> marketer falls into one of 3 categories. I'll quickly describe the
> first two types of Internet marketers.
>
> Type 1: Very few type 1's are reading this right now. They have
> long since left Internet marketing. Type 1's wanted quick and easy
> money. Anyone who has followed me for very long understands there
> is no such thing as "quick and easy" with Internet marketing.
>
> Type 2: These are the marketers having all the fun right now. They
> have figured out how to succeed online and are enjoying their
> success!
>
> Type 3: This marketer is stuck in the middle. They want success
> really really bad. They have tremendous determination and a great
> work ethic. They are willing to do whatever it takes to succeed
> online, but real success is still eluding them.
>
> If you fall into the type 3 category, listen up.
>
> It's common for these types to feel they have hit a dead-end. Does
> this sound like you
>
> Have you worked your rear off and done all the things you thought
> you were "supposed to do" in order to succeed online...yet success
> still seems as far away as ever?
>
> I've said this before, but I want to remind you again; you have to
> find your own groove! You can duplicate exactly what I do, or any
> other successful marketer and chances are it won't all fall into
> place for you as you expect.
>
> You have to find the right combination of niche and techniques
> that work with YOUR unique personality and energy. For example, I'd
> probably be a flop at making income from a dating site, but there
> are some folks making millions at it.
>
> If you feel like your wheels are only spinning and not moving you
> along, there is a very good chance your "combination" of niche and
> techniques are not correct.
>
> I can help you with a lot of things, but one thing I can't help you
> with is finding YOUR right combination. Only you can dig inside
> yourself and find the right alignment.
>
> Here's my best advice on doing so. The secret is NOT looking inside
> to find your "right" path. The secret is looking inside yourself to
> see that the path you are on is NOT correct for you. (Hey, that IS
> the SECRET...read that last part again!)
>
> It's not that hard to do. It requires trusting yourself. Take a
> look at what you are doing. If it doesn't "FEEL" right, LISTEN to
> your inner voice. Your inner voice will tell you when you are on
> the wrong path.
>
> When you HEAR that voice tell you things are out of kilter, you
> MUST be willing to bite the bullet and change what you are doing.
> All the brute force you can ever muster won't do you a bit of good.
> You can't keep beating your head against that dead-end wall and
> expect different results.
>
> When the inner voice says things are not quite right, makes some
> tweaks or even major changes. Then tap your inner voice. Do things
> feel better or worse than before? If they feel better, you know you

>
> Success requires repeating the above process over and over. There

> unexpected turns and back tracking involved.
>
> Success may not be quick and easy, but it should not feel eternally
> frustrating either.
>
> Now then, go someplace quiet and listen to what your inner voice is
> saying.

> The ideal world of affiliate marketing does not require having your
> website, dealing with customers, refunds, product development
> and maintenance. This is one of the easiest ways of launching into
> an online business and earning more profits.
>
> Assuming you are already into an affiliate program, what would be
> the next thing you would want to do? Double, or even triple, your
> commissions, right? How do you do that?
>
> Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate program
> commissions overnight.
>
> 1. Know the best program and products to promote. Obviously, you
> would want to promote a program that will enable you to achieve the
> greatest profits in the shortest possible time.
>
> There are several factors to consider in selecting such a program.
> Choose the ones that have a generous commission structure. Have
> products that fit in with your target audience. And that has a
> solid track record of paying their affiliate easily and on time. If
> you cannot seem to increase your investments, dump that program and
> keep looking for better ones.
>
> There are thousands of affiliate programs online which gives you
> the reason to be picky. You may want to select the best to avoid
> losing your advertising dollars.
>
> Write free reports or short ebooks to distribute from your site.
> There is a great possibility that you are competing with other
> affiliates that are promoting the same program. If you start
> writing short report related to the product you are promoting, you
> will be able to distinguish yourself from the other affiliates.
>
> In the reports, provide some valuable information for free. If
> possible, add some recommendations about the products. With ebooks,
> you get credibility. Customers will see that in you and they will
> be enticed to try out what you are offering.
>
> 2. Collect and save the email addresses of those who download your
> free ebooks. It is a known fact that people do not make a purchase
> on the first solicitation. You may want to send out your message
> more than six times to make a sale.
>
> This is the simple reason why you should collect the contact
> information of those who downloaded your reports and ebooks. You
> can make follow-ups on these contacts to remind them to make a
> purchase from you.
>
> Get the contact information of a prospect before sending them to
> the vendor's website. Keep in mind that you are providing free
> advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you
> make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors, chances
> are they would be lost to you forever.
>
> But when you get their names, you can always send other marketing
> messages to them to be able to earn an ongoing commission instead
> of a one-time sale only.
>
> Publish an online newsletter or Ezine. It is always best to
> recommend a product to someone you know than to sell to a stranger.
> This is the purpose behind publishing your own newsletter. This
> also allows you to develop a relationship based on trust with your
> subscribers.
>
> This strategy is a delicate balance between providing useful
> information with a sales pitch. If you continue to write
> informative editorials you will be able to build a sense of
> reciprocity in your readers that may lead them to support you by
> buying your products.
>
> 3. Ask for higher than normal commission from merchants. If you are
> already successful with a particular promotion, you should try and
> approach the merchant and negotiate a percentage commission for
> your sales.
>
> If the merchant is smart, he or she will likely grant your request
> rather than lose a valuable asset in you. Keep in mind that you are
> a zero-risk investment to your merchant; so do not be shy about
> requesting for addition in your commissions. Just try to be
> reasonable about it.
>
> Write strong pay Per Click ads. PPC search engine is the most
> effective means of advertising online. As an affiliate, you can
> make a small income just by managing PPC campaigns such as Google
> AdWords and Overture. Then you should try and monitor them to see
> which ads are more effective and which ones to dispose of.
>
> Try out these strategies and see the difference it can make to your
> commission checks in the shortest of time.

You know, after 9 years of doing this full time
here's a little, subtle and simple tip that's helped
me and many others:

This industry is really funny...

when you strip down all the hype and nonsense
that is pervasive in this industry and just lay out
the facts and keep things simple, you can build
some amazing momentum with simple approaches
(post cards) and simple systems.

It resonates the BEST with people who have actually
been through a few programs, and have been beat up,
bruised, dazed and confused with this industry's hoopla...
> If you're ever wanted to start an Internet business, you've heard
> the typical sales pitch from folks who want to "help" you.
>
> It goes like this...
>
> "Starting an Internet business is easy! You can be making cash by
> this time tomorrow! You can quit your job by next month, and all
> your dreams will come true!"
>
> Sometimes they're more subtle about it, but that's the typical
> pitch, more or less.
>
> There's only one problem with that commercial...it's either a lie
> or close enough to qualify.
>
> That's because it ignores something critically important that can
> mean the difference between success and failure for you.
>

>
> Tired of struggling to make an online income? Then you need a
> membership site that fills your pockets every month just like a
> job...without the job headaches! It's doable, and My Membership
> Empire is just the thing to make it happen. Here's a TON more
> information about it:
>
>
> The critically important factor most of those sales pitches ignore
> is that the businesses they're telling you to start are the HARD
> way to do it.
>
> When people try, they quickly realize that it's not all a walk in
> the park, and they give up. If all they're doing is trading one job
> for another, why bother, right?
>
> Can't blame 'em for that attitude, because it makes perfect sense.
>
> The dream of an Internet business is that you can make more, work
> less and tell your boss where to...uh...put your job.
>
> The typical sales pitch promises to make that happen, but people
> soon realize that they got sold a crock.
>
> Two things make that true:
>
> 1) If you want to make serious cash online (truly job-replacing
> income), you need a real business, not some kind of one-hit wonder
> information product
>
> 2) If you want to grow a mailing list chock full of hungry buyers
> (which is the real secret to long-term online business success),
> you need to give them a REASON to stay on your list
>
> That's where membership sites come in. They're like the perfect
> recipe for online success.
>
> They give you an ongoing product to sell that offers real value to
> buyers. In other words, you're a legit business!
>
> And they give your list members a great reason to stick with
> you...because you're feeding them more value every single month.
>
> I don't know of a better formula than that.
>
> The challenge for more people is that it's hard to set up a
> membership site on your own, unless you've got some experience
> behind you, or some major money to spend on outsourcing. Those are
> the facts.
>
> Now these guys have figured out how to take all of the pain and
> most of the expense out of setting up your own killer membership
> site.
>
> They call their system My Membership Empire, and it's going to
> shake things up.
